Job title: Bookfair Assistant
Description: BookPeople Bookfairs is now accepting part time (or full time) applications for a bookfair assistant to help with logistics and delivery in our growing school bookfair department. Core responsibilities will include preparing books for bookfair events, delivering books to schools and picking them up, assisting with publisher returns, and interacting with schools.
Ideal applicant should be organized, be comfortable lifting boxes, and be able to work autonomously. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail. Some knowledge of, or enthusiasm for, children’s or YA literature is a plus but not required.

Perks: BookPeople employee discount; access to advance review copies of books; flexible hours; valued member of a small team; room for expanding and evolving job as program continues to grow; moderate responsibility; it’s not a desk job.
Days/Hours Needed: Weekdays during business hours. Some early morning or late afternoon availability may be requested to coordinate with school hours. You will be able to set your schedule according to your availability, but weekly hours should total between 10 and 36, depending on the fluctuating demands of the program and your availability. Reliable, consistent hours per week strongly preferred.
