The longtime editor of Texas Monthly, Gregory Curtis, joined BookPeople live on Zoom earlier this week alongside Stephen Harrigan for a conversation about his new memoir, Paris Without Her—a remembrance of his visit to Paris for the first time without his wife by his side. It’s an elegant and elegiac memoir that’s already garnered a glowing review from The New York Times and we were thrilled to be a part of the pub day festivities.

He was editor of Texas Monthly from 1981 until 2000. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, Fortune, Time, and Rolling Stone, among other publications. A graduate of Rice University and San Francisco State College, he lives in Austin, Texas.
