BookKids: 12 Days of Storytime!

We’re thrilled to offer 12 Days of Storytime as a special holiday treat!

Three times a week, we invite families to gather in our cozy amphitheater to enjoy great books, snacks, crafts, and more! Our storytime program is a great way to bring folks in the community together and help build the next generation of readers– plus, it’s free! From Spectacular Superheroes to Luchador Legends, our booksellers never fail to entertain with interactive live readings for little ones. We also LOVE hosting authors and illustrators in the amphitheater to dazzle young readers with their talents!

In 2018, we hosted a real-life firefighter, read books with friends from museums like Mexic-Arte and George Washington Carver, and had a blast at our first-ever Drag Queen Storytime! We also gobbled up apple pie on Fourth of July with Stephanie Ledyard, author of Pie is for Sharing, cuddled with Mr. Pickles the Dachshund, sang in Spanish with Ms. Elisa from Bilingual Boogie, and so much more! It’s been a FANTASTIC YEAR! We work hard to provide a diverse and exciting program for our customers, and we’re looking forward to reading more great books and bringing in more special guests in 2019.

piestorytime2To celebrate, we thought it would be a great treat to host 12 days– TWELVE STRAIGHT DAYS– of storytime during the holiday season. So, from December 26th through January 6th, we’ll be diving into some of our favorite books, meeting authors, and giving away cool prizes! Our first author event of the year will be author-illustrator Tim Miller, who will be in the amphitheater January 5th to read his new (hilarious) book Horse Meets Dog! We hope you’ll join us every day at 10:30 AM.

After January 6th, our regular schedule will return, with storytime every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:30 AM. You can check out the full schedule here!
