Pulitzer Prize Winner and former U.S. Poet Laureate Rita Dove will introduce Puliter Prize Winner and Nobel laureate Toni Morrison at the upcoming National Book Critics Circle Awards in March. Morrison will receive the Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award at the NBCC award ceremony.

An upcoming biography of Harry Potter author JK Rowling promises a glimpse into Rowling’s experiences while writing the popular series. Author Philip Errington has spent five years writing the biography, and Rowling has been quoted as calling the work, ““slavishly thorough and somewhat mind-boggling.”

The United States Postal Service will be releasing a commemorative stamp honoring the celebrated poet and author Maya Angelou. There is no date as of yet for the release.

In May, Marvel Comics will publish a special set of comic covers featuring New York City. These variant covers will be included in 15 series.

The Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington will be launching a nationwide traveling exhibit of William Shakespeare’s First Folios. Texans will be able to view the exhibit at Texas A&M University in College Station.

A Chilean judge has ruled that the body of Nobel laureate Pablo Neruda will be returned for reburial. Forensics investigators had been studying Neruda’s remains in order to investigate allegations that he had been poisoned, though no evidence of poisoning has been uncovered.

Oscar nominated director and Austinite Richard Linklater may take on the film adaptation of Maria Semple’s novel, Where’d You Go, Bernadette. Linklater’s recent film Boyhood was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards this year.

And finally, we are sad to report that actor, poet, and photographer Leonard Nimoy died this week. He was 83. Nimoy was most famous for his portrayal of Spock on the original Star Trek television series.
