Hey everyone! My name is Eugenia and as part of my job here at BookPeople I get to do all sorts of fun things– from booking author events to coming up with storytimes and hosting field trips– and one of the coolest parts of my job here is coordinating BookPeople’s Teen Press Corps.
The TPC is a group of select Austin teens who review YA books, cover events, interview authors, and live blog the Texas Teen Book Festival every year. We keep them well supplied in Advanced Readers Copies and they basically tell us what they love, what they could do without, and much more. They are an opinionated bunch! The group is busy year round buzzing about books on their blog: bookpeopleteens.wordpress.com, and we share their reviews and favorite new releases weekly on our social media everywhere @ bookpeople.
Today you’re going to listen to two of our TPC journalists, Colleen and Fatimah, interview author Marissa Meyer, who was recently here at BookPeople for the new repackaged editions of her Lunar Chronicles series (btw, we have signed copies). Enjoy!

About Marissa Meyer
Marissa Meyer is the USA Today– and #1 New York Times–bestselling author of The Lunar Chronicles: Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Winter, Fairest: Levana’s Story, and Stars Above. She lives in Tacoma, Washington, with her husband.
About the Lunar Chronicles series
In Cinder, a teenage cyborg (half human, half machine) must deal with a wicked stepmother, start a rebellion against the evil Queen Levana, and decide how she feels about a handsome prince. Cinder forges alliances with Scarlet, a spaceship pilot; a magnetic street fighter named Wolf; Cress, a computer hacker who is imprisoned by Queen Levana; and Winter, a princess who’s in love with a commoner, and who discovers that Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress may hold the key to saving her kingdom—and the world.
