Adjustment Day by Chuck Palahniuk
Adjustment Day is a visceral exploration into the psyche of society. The version of the world in which it is set is not unlike our own: full of unrest, on the brink or war and revolution. To truly enjoy this book though, you must suspend all your beliefs about society and humanity.

The Athenian Women by Alessandro Barbero
This new Europa translation reads like a slice of life set in ancient Greece. I’m appreciative of the petty grievances and misdeeds occupying almost all of the principle players, as well as the earliest rumblings of women’s liberation seeded throughout. A nice bit of fiction.

The Dream Thieves by Maggi Stiefvater
The Dream Thieves is Stiefvater’s second novel in the Raven cycle, and it’s just as thrilling as the first! Book two follows the gang as they continue to search for the body of a magical king; it’s full of action, suspense, and thrills! It’s a great easy-read.
