Naked Girls Reading – SciFi Edition

Naked Girls Reading is yet another Austin live literary event that adult lit nerds can get excited about this month! To start off their new season, Naked Girls Reading has brought back their very popular SciFi Edition! Personally, this sci-fi lover can’t think of a better way to start out 2016 (the year Roy Batty was born, er, manufactured) than with these incredible women reading stories to me about future dystopias, robot uprisings, epic space operas and cyber-adventure.

NGR SciFi Edition

If you’ve never been to Naked Girls Reading, it’s exactly what it sounds like. There are women, reading to the audience, without any clothes on. It’s a sublime experience, and your reaction probably won’t be anything like you expect. Everyone experiences it in their own way, including the ladies on the stage. At its core NGR is pro-women, pro-literature, pro-empowerment, pro-queer, and pro-diversity. If you find any of these things appealing, this event is for you.

This edition of NGR will feature the NGR:Austin core readers:

Dawn Muses
DoubleDown Dixie
Ruby Lamb
Zaftigg von BonBon

And the crew behind Naked Girls Reading Austin:
Belladonna Darling
Electra Mourning
Eve Vocative

Naked Girls Reading – SciFi Edition will have two shows at Salvage Vanguard Theater Saturday, January 16th. One at 8pm and one at 10pm.  I understand the 8pm show is nearly sold out so get your tickets asap! Tickets are $15 in advance and SVT is BYOB (though the box office may have a limited selection of refreshments available for a donation).

Salvage Vanguard Theater is located at 2803 Manor Rd.
