Ties are boring…

…but books aren’t!

Here are some fun gift ideas for Dad. Don’t forget to show him some love; Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19!

If your Dad is into pop culture and nerdy things like Star Wars, then grab him a copy of Nerd Do Well by Simon Pegg.  We’ve got signed copies – how special is that?!

But let’s say your Dad is more of a Mystery lover.  Why  not get him a signed copy of Craig Johnson’s latest crime novel, Hell is Empty?  Or the new Tom Clancy, Against All Enemies?  Or a signed copy of Ace Atkins’ The Ranger?

Does your Dad love lighting charcoal and mastering the mighty grill?  Bobby Deen is signing his new cookbook The Deen Bros Get Fired Up on Sat 6/18 (feel free to call the store at 512.472.5050 to pre-order a signed copy).  Or maybe he’s into hitting up out-of-the-way diners?  Guy Fieri Food might be the way to go.

Has your Dad been a little league coach?  He’d probably love Augie Garrido’s Life Is Yours to Win.  More of an armchair quarterback?  Those Guys Have All the Fun, the history of ESPN, would be perfect.

Is your Dad a fiction lover?  Why not bring him Remember Ben Clayton by local author Stephen Harrigan, or the action-packed Robopocalypse by Daniel Wilson?

BUT, my personal favorite gift for Dad this year is this new picture-book-for-adults, Go the F*** to Sleep.  It’s a great way to apologize for all the sleepless nights you caused.

If these books don’t seem to fit your Dad’s personality, stop on by or call the store at 512.472.5050 and we can help you pick out the perfect book.  Just don’t get Dad another boring tie; he deserves better than that.  After all, he’s your Dad.
