Like many of you, our Children’s Book Buyer Meghan is spending a little more time than usual at home with her family. So we thought it would be useful– and even, dare we say, fun?– to have her try out some activities and share her recommendations for y’all to keep kiddos engaged and busy at home! Last week’s recommendation was the Lawrence King’s Story Box set, which you can find here.
This week, Meghan is raving about the DK Math Made Easy Workbook. She says, “We have a lot of different workbooks, but this DK Math Made Easy workbook (level K) has proven very engaging for my Pre-K student this past week.”
“Each time he completes a new skill, he gets to affix a gold star to the grid in the front, which really helps make the situation we’re in just a little more fun. I’ve also turned workbook supervision over to my 2nd grader, so he’s been helping read instructions, prep my Pre-K guy for his next task, and let him know when he’s earned his next star (which helps keep everyone occupied for a little while). There’s a whole line available for elementary grades!”
