Welcome back to another week of book recommendations from our booksellers! Read below to find out which books they’ve been unable to put down lately.
Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton
Think of Stand By Me and The Kid starring Bruce Willis with a mix of Australian drug cartel. Eli is a boy living in a broken home with everything working against him. However, aside from all his terrible circumstances, what keeps Eli going is the camaraderie between him and his brother. Dalton perfectly conveys a story about brotherly love, juvenile mischief, and terrible heartache.

Humiliation by Paulina Flores
Borne of adolescent embarrassments and adulthood’s betrayals, the stories in Humiliation capture failure and disgrace with moments that are both palpable and hit unsettlingly close to home.
Paulina Flores’s oeuvre of short fiction is some of the best I’ve read all year.

I’ll Be There for You by Kelsey Miller
I’ll be the first to admit I have Friends on a constant loop. This book is the ultimate win for all us Friends nerds. Find out which friend got hired first, which UK trends started because of the show, what live filming was actually like, among other fun tidbits! It’s a fascinating look into the cult classic and all the things that have formed because of it.
