We’re very excited to announce that we’ve just added a terrific event for kids to our October calendar! Actor and author Jason Segel will be here at BookPeople on Saturday, October 31 at 3pm – that’s right, on Halloween! – to speak about and sign his latest middle grade novel, Nightmares! The Sleepwalker Tonic!
Of course, we never pass up an opportunity to dress up, so we’re making the most of the timing here and throwing a Halloween costume party! Kids (and grown-ups, too), come dressed in your Halloween best and listen as as Jason talks to our Literary Camp Director, Topher Bradfield, about the Nightmares books.
The speaking portion of this event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required for the signing and only available with the purchase of Nightmares! The Sleepwalker Tonic from BookPeople. Books and tickets now available in-store and via bookpeople.com.
This is the sequel to Segel’s bestselling first book, Nightmares. Inspired by his own childhood experience with nightmares, Segel tells the story of young Charlie Laird, who lives in a purple mansion with a portal to the Netherworld and has a very active dream life. You can read an excerpt of Nightmares: The Sleepwalker Tonic via Entertainment Weekly right over here.

We hope you can join us on Halloween for this very special celebration! If you can’t make it and would like a signed copy of Nightmares! The Sleepwalker Tonic, you can pre-order a signed copy via bookpeople.com. We ship worldwide!
Lucky kids!
