This week was a big week in the literary world. There’s been a magnificent convergence of the web’s rich, yet scattered literary content. In short, book lovers have a new and much needed virtual home that proves literary culture is alive online. It’s called Literary Hub, and in the ambitious site’s own words,
“Literary Hub is an organizing principle in the service of literary culture, a single, trusted, daily source for all the news, ideas and richness of contemporary literary life.”
Morgan Entrekin, president of Grove Atlantic, joined forces with Electric Literature founder Andy Hunter to create the site. They’ve collaborated with the best of the industry, partnering with publishers big and small, non-profits, publications, and book stores, including Book People!
So what exactly can you find on the hub? Excerpts of anticipated new books, interviews with book stores, contributions from partners and big name authors, as well as a daily post featuring a curated list of the best recent articles. You can even sign up to have the links waiting for you in your inbox each morning. And don’t worry, Literary Hub’s aim is not to compete with literary websites for traffic, but to send eyeballs their way.
In short, Literary Hub is a beautiful site we highly encourage you to check out. We are thrilled to be a part of it. Let us know what you think!
