Stephen King Is Coming to BookPeople!

Stephen King, one of the bestselling novelists of all time, is coming to BookPeople to sign his new novel, Revival. We are enormous fans of King’s work and are honored to host this event. Tickets are required to join the signing line and include a copy of Revival

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, September 16 at 9AM at BookPeople. Tickets are only available in-store at BookPeople. They will not be available online or over the phone. For full event and ticket details and guidelines, please visit our website.

On his Twitter feed, King recently described Revival:

We have a whole lot of love for King’s books here. This is a once in a lifetime event, an author none of us ever thought we’d have the privilege of hosting here in our store. We’ve been pinching ourselves since we first received word that he was coming to Austin. Finally, we can share the joyous news with you!

Like so many book lovers, our reading lives and our libraries have been shaped by Stephen King’s books, by the authors who have been influenced by his writing, by the strange, dark, illuminating, utterly absorbing stories that he tells. On Writing, King’s guide to the craft, has been an important book for many of us as we’ve brought our own humble pens to paper. We’ve passed his books on to our friends and family; we’ve raided our parents bookshelves to scare ourselves with his vampires, his clowns, his end-of-the-world scenarios. In short, we have loved this man’s work and cannot quite believe he is coming right here to BookPeople to share his latest novel.

We’ve hosted Presidents, celebrities, Supreme Court Justices, and everyone in between. And now we’re hosting Stephen King. Pardon us if we seem a little starry-eyed the next time you come in.

Thank you to all of the book gods who have made this happen!
