Statesman Selects: THE FEVER

We’re happy to announce the Statesman Selects pick for June is the beautiful new novel by author Megan Abbott, The Fever, a chilling story about guilt, family secrets and the lethal power of desire amidst the fear of a spreading contagion. We’re proud to partner with the Austin American-Statesman to bring Megan Abbott to BookPeople tomorrow, Thursday, June 26 at 7pm. Megan will appear with Shamus Award-winning author Alison Gaylin.

Megan Abbott is the Edgar®-winning author of the several novels, including Queenpin, The Song Is You, and Dare Me. Born in the Detroit area, she graduated from the University of Michigan and received her Ph.D. in English and American literature from New York University. She has been nominated for many awards, including three Edgar® Awards, Hammett Prize, the Macavity, Anthony and Barry Awards, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the Pushcart Prize.

We’re ecstatic about this event and can’t wait to welcome Megan to the store.
