It’s not unusual…. for a bookseller to spin a little Tom Jones every now and then. Or to give away tickets to see Tom Jones perform at the Moody Theater this Friday, May 2 at 7pm, when the Welsh born superstar will be presenting a selection of songs that include iconic hits as well as tracks from his critically acclaimed albums ‘Spirit In The Room’ and Praise & Blame’. Which is what we’re doing!
It’s also not unusual to love books! To enter: Tell us the last book you read and loved, and why you loved it, and we’ll enter you into a random drawing to win two tickets to see Tom Jones Friday night!
Please note: An email address must be provided in order to enter. Comments submitted without valid email addresses will not be eligible. Winner will be drawn at random and notified via the email address provided. Entrants will be added to BookPeople’s event mailing list.

Dances With Dragons! I loved it because it left me with so many questions wanting more.
The last book that I read and loved was The Orphan Master’s Son. I loved the fact that it was written about a culture that isn’t widely used in novels and the way it used the protagonist in two different characters was great. Very original.
Love Tom Jones, and he’s a FANTASTIC performer to see live. ;0)
Reblogged this on moneyfromhomesa.
The Marriage Plot. Good story, but not my favorite Eugenides work.
The Sweetness At The Bottom of the Pie was my last book which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was very impressed that a grown man could convey his lead character (a pre-teen young girl) with such panache. A great read about sleuthing.
Thanks for entering, y’all! Check your email – we’ve contacted the winners there. Happy Friday!
I just finished reading Stern Men by Elizabeth Gilbert. I enjoyed it, but it isn’t one of my favorites. Just ok.
