The Texas Institute of Letters released it’s finalists for their annual awards this week. The ceremony will take place in San Marcos, TX on April 5th, 2014. The Institute has put together an amazing group of finalists, including debut Author and BookPeople favorite Kelly Luce. Kelly is nominated for her wonderfully imaginative collection of stories, Three Scenarios In Which Hana Sasaki Grows a Tail in the Steven Turner Award for First Fiction category.
In addition to the stellar list of nominees, Jan Reid, senior writer at Texas Monthly and author of Let the People In: The Life and Times of Ann Richards, will receive the Lon Tinkle Award for his career in Texas Letters, and Rolando Hinojosa, author of the Klail City Death Trip Series will be recognized for the lifetime achievement award he recently received from the National Book Critics Circle.
