Willa reviews For Darkness Shows the Stars

“This book. Like holy guacamole. How can a book be so darn amazing?…The characters in this book were so real to me. Some of them I absolutely despised. Some I adored. Some were in the middle. And some grew on me – just like people do in real life. The romantic tension was unbearable – I just wanted them to admit they still liked each other and move on about halfway through the book….”

TUNE YOUR RADARS NOW TO THIS NEW BOOK:

We’re very excited for the release of This Star Won’t Go Out at the end of the month. Esther Grace Earl’s friendship with John Green inspired the character of Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars. TSWGO is a collection of Esther’s journals, fiction, letters and sketches. Esther, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 16, had a remarkable outlook on and exuberance for life. You’ll hear plenty more from us about this incredible, touching book in the coming weeks, but for now, you can read more about TSWGO & place your pre-order with us over on our website.

  1. I can NOT WAIT to read The Incredible Knife of Memory! It’s sitting on my desk right now! I have to finish my current read though…. Not a teen book though…. Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep!

  2. It’s interesting to see the Esther Earl book, I think there was something in the preface to The Fault in Our Stars about Esther and John Green said that he didn’t want his readers trying to drawn any parallels or something. She sounds like she was an incredible young woman.
