As part of our big parking lot party with Rick Riordan on Monday, October 8 at 2pm to celebrate his new book The Mark of Athena, we’ll be giving away 1,000 t-shirts to people who purchase Mark of Athena from BookPeople. We’ve received a LOT of questions regarding the t-shirts, so here are all the details about the situation in one handy blog post:
*We will begin distributing t-shirts in the parking lot when we open the party at 2pm. The line will form inside the parking lot and will not form until we open the party.
*In order to receive a t-shirt, you must present a receipt for the purchase of a copy of The Mark of Athena from BookPeople. We will hand out one t-shirt per book purchased. For example, if you have a BookPeople receipt for 5 copies of The Mark of Athena, then you will receive 5 t-shirts.
*T-shirts are first come, first serve.
*T-shirts come in two varieties – Camp Jupiter (purple) and Camp Half-Blood (orange). T-shirts are all the same size – Adult Small.
*T-shirts cannot be held, shipped or purchased. You must be at the party and present a receipt in order to receive a t-shirt.
We’re going to have a blast on Monday! The t-shirts are only one small part of what is going to be a grand party featuring a long presentation by Rick Riordan that will be unlike anything he’s ever done at BookPeople before. Signed copies of The Mark of Athena are now available for purchase and will be available for purchase the day of the event.
