We’re inching closer and closer to the arrival of Elvis Costello–now only 4 days away! Costello will be here at BookPeople to speak about his new memoir, Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink, in conversation with Evan Smith of the Texas Tribune. We’re counting down the days to the October 20th event by looking back at Costello’s life in music.
Off the album Spike, his twelfth album released in 1989, comes “Veronica”. A particularly large hit in America, reaching number 19 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and five on UK’s album charts. It is one of two songs off the album that he composed with Paul McCartney, the other being “Pads, Paws and Claws”.
Nice! I’m a fan too, now I got to read this memoir 🙂
