I’ve loved John Sayles movies since I saw “Matewan” and “Eight Men Out.” I searched out Brother From Another Planet in the days of the VCR. My favorite is “Secret Of Roan Inish.”
To date, I’d have to say my favorite John Sayles movie is Passion Fish. I’m a Mary McDonnell fan and Alfre Woodard and David Strathairn are always a plus to any film. Love character drama and Passion Fish definitely delivers that.
It’s probably not his objectively best film, but my favorite is Limbo. I love how it gets smaller and more difficult as it goes along. I love how it forces us to be aware of how we’re being manipulated by the narrative. I particularly love the ending.
