Attention book lovers: Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 16. DON’T FORGET.
Attention fathers of Lauren, Flippo, Emily, Joe & Sarah: WARNING! SPOILER ALERT!
Lauren is giving her dad Vader’s Little Princess. “We all love Star Wars and watched it together growing up. My sister and I are both brunettes. I’m going to go through and mark which Leia is me and which is my sister.”
Flippo is giving his dad The Last Greatest Magician in the World: Howard Thurston Versus Houdini & the Battles of the American Wizards. “My dad was a magician and party clown when I was growing up. We always had all kinds of Houdini stuff laying around the house.”
Emily is giving her dad Apple Design. “He just got a job with Apple. Also his reading list is already a million miles long and he probably has every book on it, so a coffee table-type book is a good way to go.”
Joe is giving his dad a copy of Ever After signed by Kim Harrison. “My dad LOVES Kim Harrison. I had her sign it Happy Father’s Day/Happy Birthday/Merry Christmas. Cover all my bases.”
Sarah is giving her dad a signed copy of The Son by Philipp Meyer. “He’s the one who recommended Empire of the Summer Moon to me, which I loved, so this is perfect.

Just sent my dad 2312 by Kim Stanley Robinson. He likes sci fi and this one looks just up his alley.
This is awesome. I’m giving my dad “My Bookstore” because he’s the one who taught me to love seeking knowledge in dusty shelves. I’ll be blogging about it on Father’s Day on my website.
