Both Gretchen and Willa were hooked by William Harlan Richter’s Dark Eyes, they loved it!
“Her “crew” was one of my favorite parts of the book. I wish they had been featured more, because I really loved all of her friends – Ella, Tevin, and Jake – especially Ella. She was the kind of girl who had just been treated horribly as a young girl but had developed into a sweet and caring one who had a huge heart.”
“The plotline of Dark Eyes was fantastic – it had layers of two mysteries the whole book, and caught in the middle was Wally, misleading everyone and conducting her own investigation. Some of the characters really surprised me, especially when they got their chance to shine.” To read Wila’s full review CLICK HERE.
“The plot of this book is realistic and plausible without being familiar or over-done. Very well researched, the book fits together well and helps draw the reader deeply into Wally’s story. I like how the plot builds speed, but never is slow. This story relates to real people and real emotions, which is something not seen much in literature these days! Very well written book.” To read Gretch’s full review CLICK HERE.

Willa also read Quarantine by Lex Thomas and thought it was dark and mysterious – a real page turner!
“The plotline of The Loners is fast-paced and action packed! There was never a dull moment, and each event that happened made sense, and seemed to match the character’s character. The issues these teens dealt with were life and death, and they all changed. Will and David grew both closer and farther apart, especially when they both begin to fall for the same girl…
I think my favorite part of this book was that it kept you guessing. You never knew what the authors were going to throw at you next, or how David would react to something, and that made the book so much better. I was constantly surprised!” To read Willa’s full review CLICK HERE.
