Lucky you, it’s Thursday! This is our 4th week in the count down to the Austin Teen Book Festival. BookPeople is a proud sponsor of the ATBF. Join us in celebrating all things YA.
The Austin Teen Book Festival is Saturday, September 29th from 9:30am to 5pm. There will be book signings, author panels, photo opps, and the chance to make thousands of new friends who are into the same awesome books as you — all for FREE. This week we are highlighting the “What Would You Do For Love?” panel. Check out the complete panel line up for the Austin Teen Book Fest HERE.
“What Would You Do For Love?” is properly named, for it is the romance panel. This panel includes Kresley Cole, Jessica Shrivington, Tamara Ireland Stone, Ally Condie, Jessica Khoury, and Tracy Deebs, who is the panel’s moderator.

Mackinsey and Emily both loved Jessica Khoury’s Origin. Both ladies aren’t huge into love stories
but this one blew them away.
” The scientists are keeping dangerous secrets from her, ones that would change everything she’s believed. Eio is the first boy Pia’s age that she’s ever met, so it’s not surprising that she’s attracted to him. But the insta-love bothers me. Despite that, after a while I could wait for them to just kiss already! Khoury has some serious skills seeing as she got me to be okay with insta-love.” – Emily

“She meets a boy from a native tribe and continues to sneak out to see him. They discover the truth about Pia’s origin, a truth that may destroy her and her perfect little world. I really liked this book. It was full of surprises and secrets hid around every turn. The more I read the more I became engrossed with the story.” -Mackinsey

Sam adores Tracy Deebs’ work and has been reading the Tempest series. Check out what she has to say about these action packed mermaid lovin books!
“Between the two super sexy male leads, a strong independent female lead, tear-jerking emotions, and mermaids what is there not to like?! The book kept me immersed in it 100% of the time and I couldn’t put it down! Tempest Rising is my top rec for new books to read!” Click here to read Sam’s full review of Tempest Rising.
“Tracy Deebs has done it again. Everything about this book was amazing. It kept me reading and wanting more. I stayed up until 2 in the morning finishing this book just so I could see what Tempest ending up doing… Tempest hasn’t changed at all. She is still the crazy, irrational girl we all fell in love with at the beginning. She is ruled by her emotions, and that seems to make her more powerful. She cares deeply about everything, and will do anything for the ones she loves. Even swimming halfway across the ocean and risking major injury on a whim and a feeling.” Click here to read Sam’s full review of Tempest Unleashed.
