“Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has long been a favorite book of mine–I just got up to count and I have six different copies on my shelf right now! I love the idea that entire worlds exist within our imaginations–especially worlds that are so bizarre, we can’t even begin to understand them ourselves. And of course, I love the part where Alice grows to become so tall, she’s “more than nine feet high.” For a tall, introverted, bookish girl (which I was and always will be), there truly could be no better heroine!” – Tall, introverted, bookish bookseller Liz Wyckoff
Oh, the transformative power of a good book! We’ll be giving away a suite of other potentially life-changing Penguin books at our event with Junot Diaz on Tuesday, September 25th. All who attend are welcome to enter. Join us!

Any book that challenges a persons imagination is a book worth reading. I love an adventurous read and am always intrigued by how far a writer can stretch his or her own thoughts. Alice in Wonderland, has always been one of my favorite books and to this day, not many stories can compete with his captivating details and oddly enchanting style of writing.
