Yesterday we hosted a party and book pick-up for World Book Night Givers. Sarah Bird gave a fabulous little talk about The Hunger Games, and we enjoyed amazing cupcakes from our sponsor Polkadots Cupcake Factory, as well as beverages from sponsor Saint Arnold Brewing Company.
We left yesterday totally jazzed for April 23, the date of World Book Night US. Hearing everyone’s plans for giving out their books and understanding the scope of what’s happening and just how many people will be encouraged to read here in Austin, and then multiplying that by the number of people distributing books nationwide, had us bursting with joy for being a part of this incredible initiative.
