The Austin Food and Wine Festival posted a fun list of Qui’s five favorite things about Austin. Qui’s scheduled to appear at the April festival, along with fellow competitor Sarah Grueneberg. Tickets available through the festival’s website.
We had the pleasure of meeting Paul (and sampling some of Uchi and Uchiko’s creations) when he was here with Tyson Cole last year to talk about Uchi: The Cookbook. Having listened to them talk about their creative process, the trial and error and the experimental spirit with which they approach a new dish, it’s not at all surprising that Paul took home top honors last night. Many congratulations again to Paul. Looking forward to seeing him again in April!
