This week is it. Tomorrow the knitters gather to put the last stitches on what we are confident (or at least very, very hopeful) will catch the eyes of author Mac Barnett and illustrator Jon Klassen and win their bookseller’s knitting challenge. It’s been hard work, but oh, it’s going to be so worth it when we finally fit our sweater to a certain object in our store which, until this Wednesday, February 29th, around 2pm or so, shall remain nameless!
For now, here are some new shots of Merrilee toiling away this weekend.
Once again, this is all inspired by the beautiful new picture book written by Barnett and illustrated by Klassen, Extra Yarn. Swing by this week to take a look at a copy, and also to see the triumphant conclusion to the ongoing saga of the Bookstore Yarn Bomb! After Wednesday afternoon, there will be no hiding our knitting any longer!
