Austin Food & Wine Festival Tickets Now On Sale

Are y’all hip to the news? Finally, the city that brings you SXSW, ACL Live, the Texas Book Festival, Austin Teen Book Festival, and so much more is now bringing all of you foodies out there something to salivate over – the Austin Food & Wine Festival.

Mark your calendars: April 27-29, 2012 Auditorium Shores will be host to all-day cooking demonstrations, wine seminars, tastings, cookbook signings, & an all-out celebration of gastronomic delights with such renowned chefs as Masaharu Morimoto, Tim Love, Tyson Cole, Top Chef‘s Gail Simmons, and many, many more. The festival, a collaboration between C3 Presents and some of Texas’ best loved chefs and restaurateurs (including Jesse Herman, Tyson Cole & Tim Love) and presented by FOOD & WINE magazine, promises to be a unique gourmet celebration right here in our own fair city.

Tickets are on sale now (and include a one year subscription to FOOD & WINE as an added bonus). BookPeople is thrilled to be the festival’s official bookseller. We also love knowing that a portion of the Festival’s proceeds will benefit The Austin Food & Wine Alliance, dedicated to fostering awareness and innovation in the Central Texas food and wine community through grants, educational programming and events.

If you’re looking for an extra special treat for your valentine this year, tickets to the festival are a great idea. A weekend-long immersion in gourmet food and wine is awfully romantic. Be sure to check out Valentine’s Day champagne recommendations by June Rodil, sommelier at Congress and Second Bar + Kitchen, on the festival’s website, too.

Austin, this is going to be so divine! And, of course, delicious.
