Austin Rockabilly star Ruby Dee Philippa has a brand new cookbook on the shelves, Ruby’s Juke Joint Americana Cookbook. This is a collection of her favorite Americana recipes, along with the stories behind the dishes and tales of life behind the scenes with the Snakehandlers. The book also comes with a full-length CD of Americana tunes.
We’ll be celebrating the new cookbook here tonight with an in-store performance by Ruby Dee and the Snakehandlers, followed by a good old fashion book talk and signing. The party starts at 7p up on our second floor. As with virtually all of our events, this shindig’s totally free. Put on your dancing shoes and come on down.
