Get Smart!

UT Psychology professor Art Markman has good news for anyone with a mind – it’s possible to improve the way that it works. His new book, Smart Thinking, examines intelligence beyond the IQ to look at how we focus on new information (or so often don’t, in this multi-tasking world), how memory works, and the three steps we can each take to think and learn better in our daily lives.

He talked to KUT today, telling listeners, “so much of what influences how effective we are as thinkers in the world depends on what we know and our ability to use our knowledge. And that’s really under our control.”

Have a listen to the conversation, then join us here this Wednesday, January 4th at 7p to hear Markman speak in depth about how to better use our brains.
