World Book Night US Announces Titles!

Book lovers, mark your calendars – Monday, April 23 is World Book Night!

Held simultaneously in the UK, Ireland, and the US, World Book Night is an annual celebration designed to spread the love of reading and books throughout communities worldwide. How? By enabling tens of thousands of volunteers to go out into their cities and towns and hand out free copies of World Book Night paperbacks.

The goal is to spread 1 million books throughout America on April 23. If you want to help, register to be a book giver. BookPeople will be be a major Austin distribution center on World Book Night, supplying givers with the special WBN paperback books they’ll hand out. We believe reading is of paramount importance in fostering a culture of thoughtfulness and understanding and are proud to participate in this incredible campaign that puts books in readers hands.

We hope you’ll join us in making this year’s effort a success! World Book Night U. S. needs 50,000 book givers to sign up by February 1st, 2012 in order to make this happen. For more info and to sign up as a book giver, visit the World Book Night U. S. website.
