Nerd Do Well by Simon Pegg
I’ve been a geek for a long time, all my life basically, and it hasn’t been until recently that it’s been okay in the eyes of society to be a geek. Simon Pegg is one of the people who has helped to change that, and his autobiography, Nerd Do Well, is a joyous affirmation that being a geek is cool. From his childhood as a Star Wards nerd wanting to be Han Solo, to his teenage years when he first got into acting, all the way up to the present where he makes a living being a nerd, Pegg lovingly describes the joy of geekdom and the role that his own geekiness has played in getting him to where he is now. Geek chic is the future of pop culture and Simon Pegg is one of its brightest stars, so to him I can only say: Live long, prosper, and keep being a nerd!
