Announcing Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Training Camp!

From the good folks at BookPeople Literary Camps, who have brought you Camp Halfblood, Ranger’s Apprentice Camp, and weekend camps with Pseudonymous Bosch and Lincoln Peirce, comes the all new weekend camp Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Training Camp!

The Galactic Republic has been embroiled in conflict with Separatist forces for years. Evil has risen up to challenge the Jedi Order and the peace and security it represents in the galaxy.  Count Dooku, leader of the Separatist coalition, has engaged the services of the Bounty Hunter, Rom Theen. Separatist forces have blockaded many of the worlds in which Jedi normally find their lightsaber crystals, making access to these resources difficult if not impossible.  Rom Theen has stolen one of the last shipments of Adegean crystals bound for the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.  These crystals are vital to the creation and completion of a Jedi’s weapon – the Lightsaber. Preliminary intelligence indicates Rom Theen may have mistakenly chosen to rendezvous with his Sith employer on the same Outer-Rim planet where the Jedi Order have begun to train Younglings and Initiates.

For three days (February 18-20, 2012 – President’s Day weekend) you can train in the ways of the Force at the new Outer-Rim Training Facility, where you will be versed in use of the Force, light saber training, Jedi knowledge, and much, much more. Part of this training will include the apprehension of the nefarious bounty hunter, Rom Theen.  Things are going to get interesting…

Registration for this camp opens on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 9am. Line-up for registration will open at 8am. Completed registration packets are required and can be downloaded from the Star Wars The Clone Wars Jedi Training Camp website, where you’ll also find plenty more information about the camp. Preference is given to those who can physically line up outside the store that morning.
