Teen Events, Teen Stuff, Oh My!

Teen Book FestIf you haven’t been on Twitter or in the blog-o-sphere lately, you may have been missing all of the buzz that’s been building for the Austin Teen Book Festival. Here at BookPeople, we’re thrilled about all of the different authors coming (did you see David Levithan will be coming a couple of days early for the Nick & Norah screening at the Alamo?).

However, teen author events this fall aren’t limited to the Austin Teen Book Festival.  We have some other great teen events lined up for this fall as well.

First up, Jessica Lee Anderson will be here this Saturday to release her new book, Calli.  Set in Louisiana, the book is about Calli learning to find her own voice after her foster sister tries to ruin her life, and the out-of-control events that occur as a result.

The party will follow the SCBWI spouse’s panel where various spouses of our local authors discuss the perils and priceless moments of living with an author.  For more information, click here.

Then in October, Rick Riordan joins us to promote his latest Heroes of Olympus book, Son of Neptune.  This big parking lot party will be THE place to be for Camp Half-Blood fans (and our Camp Half-Blood alums).  Rick will be signing any 2 of his books per line ticket although you will need to have purchased a copy of Son of Neptune in order to get a line ticket.  For more information, click here.

Finally, in November Christopher Paolini will be returning to the store to sign the final copy of his Inheritance Cycle.  We don’t have a lot of details on this yet, but for more information, click here.

So much to do.  So much to do.
