Dr. Ronald Chevalier, the Cluster award winning sci-fi author and “visitation portraitist”, will be appearing at BookPeople on Friday, September 25 at 4 PM. Chevalier will read from his new novel, Brutus & Balzaak.
Chevalier’s mind-bending work includes the seminal science-fiction novel Cyborg Harpies, and the deep thought-provoking Brain Cream. He will honor you with entry into his “mind portal” and bemuse you with his “Art of Relaxating.”
Psst. Not Really. The doctor is actually comedian/musician Jemaine Clement (star of HBO’s Flight of the Conchords) here to promote Gentlemen Broncos, the excitingly nerdy new movie by director Jared Hess (Napolean Dynamite). In the movie Clement plays a 70’s style sci-fi author with a taste for turtlenecks and outer space murals.
Pre-signed copies of Brutus & Balzaak will be availble (as long as they last). Please come early, this event is going to be crowded!
